Just outside the city, our peaceful family-run barns sit amongst fields farmed for nearly 100 years. We’d love to welcome you into our home to celebrate your marriage, with beautiful spaces for each part of your day and plenty of options for every season - all with genuine care, warmth, and attention.

Nestling in the countryside on the Essex / Hertfordshire border, the farm is a tranquil haven just half an hour by train from Liverpool Street station.

Ever wondered where the wheat in the last loaf of bread you bought came from, or how it was grown? Come along to Open Farm Sunday here at Lodge Farm to find out! We grow cereals here (wheat, oats and barley) and some pulses too (specifically, a type of bean called the faba bean, which primarily goes into animal feed) and we'd love to tell you more about how these crops go from being seeds in the ground to food on your plate.
You'll meet the farmers who grow your food, see machinery displays with the equipment we use, go on either a walking tour or tractor & trailer ride tour of the farm, explore the beautiful countryside on our nature trail, get hands on with activities, and much more!
Our bar will be open for hot, cold, soft & alcoholic drinks, and there'll be homemade local food available too - so why not make a day of it? We'll be open from 11am to 4pm, entrance is FREE, and you are welcome to drop in anytime.
Tractor & trailer rides will leave at quarter past each hour and seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis on the day - just ask our team for info when you arrive.
